Biography

Nicky joined the Center for Online and Distance Learning (CODL) as a Senior Instructional Designer, bringing over a decade of experience in the field. Prior to his current role at CODL, he served as an Assistant Professor of Practice and an Associate at the Center for Teaching and Learning at Dakota State University. Additionally, he spent four years as an Instructional Designer III and Instructor at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Nicky has extensive expertise in instructional design and information systems and technology. He enjoys collaborating with faculty to develop engaging and effective instructional materials, assessments, and activities suitable for various class formats. His research interests encompass instructional technology and design, teaching and learning methodologies, professional development, leadership, and information technology.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Nicky is an avid traveler and a skilled chef, specializing in Thai cuisine and pastries. He holds a BA in Speech Communication and an MSc in E-Learning Technology & Administration from South Dakota, as well as a PhD in Organizational & Educational Leadership with a specialization in Educational Information Systems and Security from Kentucky.
