About Us
Since 2011, the Center for Online & Distance Learning (CODL) has partnered with faculty to help produce online and hybrid courses utilizing innovative pedagogy and advances in teaching and learning technologies. We provide the following services:
We are a central contact for all online programs at KU, and we maintain institutional compliance for interstate postsecondary distance education. We also provide institutional memberships in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), Quality Matters (QM), and the Online Learning Consortium (OLC).

Table Legend
Course Projects = designing a course with an instructor from concept to delivery; includes media production support. Each project duration is typically 2-4 months.
Desk-side Consultations = answering questions and responding to individual help requests from instructors; topics related to instructional design, Canvas tools, or media production. Each consulation duration is typically 1 hour or less.
Exams Proctored = administering in-person exams for online KU courses and coordinating with off-site proctors for students who live outside of Lawrence, KS; includes quarterly, mid-term, and final exams.
