E-Lu Chen received her Educational Specialist degree in the field of the Instructional Design and Technology. Applying her professional knowledge and skills in distance learning education, she has designed, developed and delivered online / hybrid / face to face courses and workshops in various environments and platforms for over 10 years. She also works closely and collaboratively with her colleagues and faculty members to design and deliver quality online courses. These experiences help her to foster the notion of using best practices for the design of online learning  – that is, being open-minded to technology tools, embracing new ideas for teaching and learning, and endorsing research-based online instructional design and methods.
